It looks like the Date column is only sorted by date, not by date and time

There is not a 3.17.3 GTK3 version.

You are using threading.

There is no difference between gtk2 claws date sort and gtk3 claws date sort

I have discovered the following workaround:

First, the "strange" ordering apparently only happens, when the folder is newly created.

Then press Ctrl-T twice (switching to Threaded View and back), and the order is fixed.

After that, one can even arbitrarily alternate between ascending and descending order, everything remains fine.
