Created attachment 2050 [details] Claws Mail icon appearing on LXQt desktop After Claws was installed on Fedora 31, I noticed the application icon on the LXQt desktop and on its entry on the Internet menu, is different (green claw emerging from a single envelope), instead of the well-known icon that is shown on the Claws Mail web site and in other desktops (MATE, LXDE, etc.) Is there a way of changing the icon on the LXQt desktop and menu to the well-known icon? Clicking the icon on the Properties screen of its desktop entry doesn't do anything. I am attaching a screenshot showing the icon that appears on the desktop. Thank you.
Comment on attachment 2050 [details] Claws Mail icon appearing on LXQt desktop Three pitfalls comes to mind. A custom desktop file and/or a customized icon theme only used by the LXQt desktop provided by your Linux distro or the menu allows to chose a different icon. A right click menu as well as a panel menu might have go a configuration file. I'm using a different distro and no desktop environment at all, but I'm using a panel. [rocketmouse@archlinux ~]$ grep claws .config/fbpanel/lcd-realignment image = /usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/apps/claws-mail.png action = claws-mail IOW usually it is possible to change the icon you see provided by a menu, title bar of the window manager etc., but how to do this depends on several things. However, it's unlikely related to claws-mail upstream.
Thank you for the reply. It was the icon theme used, Breeze was the default. I changed it to the Fedora icon theme and the CM icon changed back to the well-known icon.
