Description pezcurrel 2019-10-30 08:14:14 UTC
Say you have setup 2 accounts in claws, a@a.a and b@b.b.
You send an e-mail from account a@a.a to those recipients: b@b.b, c@c.c, d@d.d
You open "sent" folder of account a@a.a, click "reply" for the mail you just sent; the new mail is correctly destined to b@b.b, c@c.c, d@d.d, but the "from" field is set to b@b.b.
Expected behavior: the new mail should have a@a.a as "from" account.

More explanation is needed:

> Say you have setup 2 accounts in claws, a@a.a and b@b.b.

Are these IMAP accounts and, therefore, have separate mailboxes? Or are these POP accounts? POP accounts can share a mailbox and a Sent folder, or can be configured to use separate mailboxes, or separate sub-folders of a common parent Sent folder, and other variations.

Have you got the options for 'Automatic account selection' set?

Are you using the Folder Properties to set default accounts?

In my particular set up it all works just as it should.

They are POP accounts, each one has its own Inbox, Sent, Drafts, Queue, Trash folder. The only shared folder is Spam: it is on the first account and bogofilter is configured to move spam and suspected spam there for every account.

> Have you got the options for 'Automatic account selection' set?

Yes.

> Are you using the Folder Properties to set default accounts?

Yes, and it was set to the same account the Sent folder belongs.
Strange thing is: I tried switching it off, and then replying to own sent mails I got the "From" field set to the correct account, the one I used to send the original mail. Moreover, now, after I switched it back on, I have the same behavior.
I'm confused :))

Which "same behaviour"? Do you mean that after switching it back on it behaves correctly, or do you mean it behaves incorrectly again?

It behaves correctly.
