When trying to load/install the Fancy plugin, it claims the .dll file is missing, even though that's what I am clicking on in the plugin folder.

Surprised this has never been replied to, but better late than never as it still applies to 3.17.8. This reply just to give some historical closure.

The error message is [still] misleading, the missing file was [almost certainly] msvcr100.dll, a required Visual C++ component which can't be included in the distribution for licensing reasons. You will need to install 'Visual Studio 2010 (VC++ 10.0) SP1' runtime.

Google for it, links posted in replies tend to break over time, and look for 2010, there are several vintages.
