Description kardan 2018-08-06 14:28:58 UTC
1. I suggest to have the "Open in a new window" option
in the tray menu at a higher position and not buried in a submenu.

2. Another wish: close the message window after clicking the dustbin
symbol. Currently it replaces the content with a sentence saying that
the message has been deleted. If others agree, I will open a bug
request.

Thanks!

Please note, this action is also available via double-clicking the message in the list, or selecting it and pressing Enter -- so I don't think it really needs to be made more prominent in the context menu.

("context menu" is, as far as I'm aware, the popular term for the menu which opens when you right-click a message; your message here and on the mailing list is the first I've heard it referred to as a "tray menu", and it took me some time to realize what you meant).

Right, I confused the terms, of course I meant 'context menu'. Thanks for pointing this out.

This is not the same as right clicking a message because it changes the message window and I value the option to read a message while deleting another as claws' interface is blocked during such actions.
If you know another way to achieve this I'd be happy to know!

Can we keep this open - point 1 is not covered in #3607.
Comment 5 Paul 2018-08-07 16:51:28 UTC
that's the problem with attempting to use one item for 2 discrete issues
