Description Ricardo Mones 2017-08-04 10:40:38 UTC
In default configuration the notification plugin notifies about new mail in draft folders every time you compose a message, for example, it changes tray icon to the "new mail" icon. While technically it is a new mail, is not what usually people wants to be notified about.

The proposal is that folders of type "Draft" (and probably their children) should be excluded by default when per-folder notification is not enabled.

Thanks in advance,

Another possibility towards achieving the same result: in addition to the option to notify about only included folders, add an option to notify about all folders besides excluded folders (for the reasons explained here: https://www.thewildbeast.co.uk/claws-mail/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=4208#c2).

Actually, this should not be the case. Draft folders and their children are excluded from notification by default - provided that the folder is actually a draft folder (check "Folder Type" in the folder properties). Maybe you use a normal folder to store your drafts?

"Draft folders and their children are excluded from notification by default"

That's not the case on my system (3.16.0) apparently. My draft folder is of draft type but still indicates unread mail in the draft folder. That behaviour is fine by me - it reminds me I have written something and not sent it

I don't have a Notification plugin BTW.

I have posted a screenshot, it seems to be a proper draft folder.
