I have used both sylpheed and sylpheed-claws, 1.0 version. While sylpheed opens
the inbox (using IMAP) in a jiffy, sylpheed claws takes ages. My situation is so
bad that if someone is to send me mails every minute, sylpheed-claws will only
keep fetching the mail and trying to update it and I would never be able to see it!

 This has happened to me many times when my manager comes around and asks me if
I have read the latest mail and I have to tell him shamefacedly that my mailtool
is still trying to fetch it !!

 I love the look and feel of sylpheed-claws as compared to the sylpheed UI, so
please don't force me to go to sylpheed. But if we don't fix this quickly, I'll
have to do just that.. please dont make me beg !!!!

this bug probably depends on a handful of them. overall if depends on the
feature request "please fix broken IMAP" (on SF.net), or "steal sylpheed IMAP
code, which actually works" (advice floating around).
