"Next unread message" function does not work in newsgroups folders, but in mail folders it works very well.
Does not work menu "View-goto-next unrread message", same key shorcut "n" or "space". Only the requester appears "No unread message found. Go to next flolder?"

It works for me (using 3.16.0). Try 'Previous unread message'. If sorting from top to bottom next goes downwards. If sorting from bottom to top next goes upwards.

You're right, it depends on sorting now.
In the previous all versions (maybe 3.14 and earlier) it works regardless of sorting. It's a shame.
