I have found that ClawsMail cannot set the long filename to attachment correctly.

_2旅費交通費精算書_201704_○○.xls	⇒	旅費交通費精算書_201704_○○.x
_2旅費交通費精算書_20170_○○.xls	⇒	旅費交通費精算書_20170_○○.xl

Is it some sort of limitation?

Probably just a bug in conversion from UTF-16 to UTF-8. When do you see this? When trying to attach a file to a new message?

Thanks for your reply. I attached the file just after create a new message.
The attachment tab of that message is showing filename correctly.
I can find the incorrect filename at sent-folder (and inbox -- I sent it me by BCC) after I send it.

I think this has been fixed in git already, in commit http://git.claws-mail.org/?p=claws.git;a=commitdiff;h=70ea2d8

Feel free to reopen if this is still an issue in an upcoming next release.
