Hi, I have a suggestion concerning the integration of GPG/PGP in claws-mail. For a seamless integration of encrypted mails it's important for me to have some kind of office function for encrypted mails: receiving encrypted mails: decrypt and store as plain text, but marked with the encryption flag indicating "was encrypted/reply should be encrypted" sending encrypted mails: encrypt and store copy-to-self as plain text, but marked with the encryption flag indicating "was sent encrypted" It's much like in the old paper work days, when you removed the paper envelope from a letter and put it into the file folder and the carbon copy that was created on the typewriter. I managed to get this office function approximately by coding some bash scripts, but that's not a seamless integration itself into claws-mail. > http://public.abades.dynu.net/code/ So a proper integration of this office function into the GPG plugin would be better. I think this would be an improvement for better user acceptance of encryption. claws-mail would be the 1st MUA to offer such a sophisticated PGP office function. AFAIK no other MUA offers a similar one. My scripts are just a workaround and provide only a basic office function. It could offer much more sophisticated functions e.g. attaching the original GPG-Mail or information about the public key it was encrypted/signed with. Kind regards Orinoco
