When composing a new message, Claws creates timed backup copies in the “Drafts” folder. But one "enhancement" changed the behavior to also mark/show those drafts as being "New". This change, while it might seem logical to some people, is actually very confusing to others. It has already caused a lot of support issues for my department- people calling and asking why it is doing that, why they have new Email, etc. Even to me it is annoying, because it looks like I have new Email and don't..... a timed backup really isn't something new, it is a special situation. If claws is killed or the system crashes or whatever, I believe it detects this and will pull up the in-process compose window from the backup, so there is no need to show it as new. I propose the change be reverted or there should at least be a preference setting for this behavior.
