With Message View disabled, pressing the Enter key on the message automatically activates Message View, thus overriding the setting. This behavior is undesirable.

Please make the Message View setting stick, until it is changed manually.

Pressing enter on a message in summary view is one of the _manual_ ways to reactivate message view.

If this behaviour is undesirable to you please reopen this bug, change its importance to "enhancement" and edit its title accordingly to make it an enhancement request.

Please make the Message View (hide) setting remain unchanged when Enter is pressed. 
The current behavior is very counter-intuitive. It is undesirable.

I suggest that pressing Enter should, instead, open the message in a new window.
