Description Holger Laux 2012-03-07 17:07:29 UTC
I have Claws Mail pointing to four IMAP accounts with various folder structures set up on the server. Under Preferences, I checked "Scan every 10 minutes" and unchecked "Scan local folders" (there are none anyway). I also have one of the alert plugins that shows me a notification if I have new mail.

The problem I am having is that Claws Mail checks each and every folder on the server every 10 minutes and while doing so is completely unresponsive. As my folder structures grow, this process takes longer and longer.

All I want is for Claws to update the four Inbox folders and possibly the Spam ones, but nothing else. I know the other folders do not change because I have not set up any filter actions.

Can such an option be implemented?

Sorry I only have version 3.7.9 I am using Linux Mint Debian Edition and this seems to be the latest version for this platform.

Many thanks.

use the Folder Properties and set/inset 'scan for new mail'

Many thanks. Perhaps this should be unset by default.
