ripperX GTK2 goes official
Following my ripperX patch, which added a GTK2 interface, internationalisation, and improved the use of the autotools build system, [read about it here], I became a member of the ripperX development team at SourceForge.
Today I committed a modified version of my patch to the ripperX SVN. The modifications involved a few minor fixes. There's still much to do – there are still quite a few deprecated GTK functions, for example, but it's a good start.
You can get the latest SVN code by using the following command: svn co https://ripperx.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/ripperx/trunk ripperxComments and patches are welcome. |

Hi,
I'm going to package RipperX for Debian GNU/{Linux,Hurd,kFreeBSD,*} systems if you don't mind :).
Since your modifications are still in SVN, and not official, I'll package the old GTK-1 version and apply your patch as it was a "Debian patch". It's not the cleanest way, but it's the simplest IMHO. As soon as your GTK2 modification gets released, I'll package that one ;)

Ooops. It seems like ripperx as already been packaged: http://packages.debian.org/ripperx :)
Well, I'll make an unofficial Debian package then :)

Yes, fortunately, Tony Mancill, the Debian packager, is also a ripperX dev.
A new ripperX release, fresh from SVN, will be out soon.

I've made an initial Spanish translation for ripperX, maybe they want to add it to the po dir.
