next unseen doesn't work if no folder/message active

the 'next unseen' function doesn't work if no folder or message is active. if it could default to the first folder/message (if no folder selected) or the logically next folder/message (if a folder but not message is selected) it would be much nicer. to reproduce: deselect folder/message, eg delete all spam, then get new, then try 'next unseen'
You can only search for next unseen if a folder or a message has been selected. There's nothing wrong with that; check the View menu items. All message browse menu entries should be grayed. Can you verify if this is also the case in your situation?
yes, this is the same for me. the view->go to-> items are greyed out. But in the folder pane, I can see the folder is still 'selected' and it shows as 0 unread, 0 messages. This is a deterministic state: you were on some folder, you deleted all its mail, you are still 'on' that folder, its empty. In that case, 'next unseen' as a deterministic value: the next folder with unseen messages can be 'found'. If I 'click' on any other empty folder, I *still* can't go to 'next unseen' If I use Ctrl-N to go to 'next folder' I *still* can't go to 'next unseen' I have to click on a message in some non-empty folder to wake the GUI up to what it thinks is the 'next unseen' -Its counter-intuitive. -George
Thanks, I needed this specific test case. I'll investigate it. (Not a blocker.)
