Description From 2003-02-22 01:10:04
Working with IMAP I created a IMAP folder for storing my sent-mail. I just
discovered
that the Table Head for the message list is wrong, it doesn't change. Although
the
Messageview itsef changes which is wonderful. I just wondered, the Information
To: is
listed under Tablehead From:

can you attach a (small) screenshot to enlighten us a bit? :-)

Created an attachment (id=27) [details]
a screenshot of the respective "problem"

The underlined email in this folder was SENT To "Boris Misic"
Just to be correct you either have to change the Tableheader, which woud be
very nice
or to Change the DAta displayed to the email-address of the "sending account"

Look in Configuration -> Common Preferences.

There is a button there which says "Display recipient in From
Column if sender is yourself". If you have it ticked (which
you do) then Sylpheed behaves this way. If you untick it
then Sylpheed would display "Your Name" as the From (which,
IMHO isn't useful).

What happens if your folder is a "mixed" folder? I quite
often move messages from "Sent" to another folder so they
thread with the original messages. What should the column
header say then?

How would Sylpheed know to call the column To: instead of
From? You could do it based on the name (Sent) but some
people don't call their folders by English names!

You could add "To:" as a valid display item in the
Preferences, but then you'd have to have it turned on
for all folders.

Saving per folder column settings could solve this problem, but that would be a
feature enhancement. If you feel this should be on the list, change the bug
settings to enhancement and write a better summary.
------- Comment #5 From 2005-09-10 21:21:26 -------
To column is now available, but not yet per-folder columns settings.
------- Comment #6 From 2006-03-06 21:31:05 -------
The To column is now replaced by a From column in the Sent, Queue, Draft
folders.
