Description From 2003-07-14 11:58:22
Currently using: Sylpheed version 0.9.0claws57 (GTK+ 1.3.0; Win32)

When composing a new message, the "File" menu should have "Save" command
available to save the message as a draft. Though there is an option to
auto-save, it might not be useful in all circumstances. A manual command will
serve a useful purpose. I suggest a few variations:

Variation I (Suggested):
  File Menu
      Save
      ------------
      Attach file
      Insert file
      Insert signature
      ------------
      Close

Variation II (Overkill, but still, choose your medicine):
  File Menu
      Save & continue editing
      Save & close
Save as a different draft < this creates a snapshot in drafts >
      ------------
      Attach file
      Insert file
      Insert signature
      ------------
      Close

Please give Variation I a serious thought.

You mean something like the already existant '/Message/Save and keep editing' ?

Holy Cow! How'd you do that? ;)

Yes, that is exactly what I was looking for. But I was expecting it under File
menu just like every 'Save' command in any other software that allows me to save
anything.

So, I will maintain my RFE to have the command available under "File" menu.
Unless it is rejected of course. :)

which reminds me that i always found the "Save and keep editing" a
bit archaic. :-)

I think we just needs save for drafting ("Save and keep editing"), and
close / exit always ask for saving to draft (which it does already). No
need to have a separate "Save and close".

what about that?

I agree. That is what I expected from the application: a simple "File" ->
"Save"
 command.

Perfecté!
