Claws Mail Bugzilla – Bug 222
Summary view state not retained between sessions
Last modified: 2004-08-21 13:45:22
You need to log in before you can comment on or make changes to this bug.
Click on the down arrow to remove the summary view. Close Claws. Open Claws. Note the down arrow is back. The summary view is open, just completely minimized. This has the effect of opening every message without the user being aware the message is being open. It can cause delays on messages with a PGP signature as the signature is being verified without the message being apparently opened to the user. State for this view should be retained across sessions. First observed in 0.9.0, still in 0.9.3.
| The summary view is open, just completely minimized yes. it is minimized. | This has the effect of opening every message without the user | being aware the message is being open. yes, because it is minimized. you want it hidden: that's a feature request.
Created an attachment (id=78) [details] Internal message view closed Look at the lower right above "grey@dmiyu.org". Note the down arrow and lack of widget to resize that element of the window.
Created an attachment (id=79) [details] Message view back open Take a look at the same location. The up arrow is now a down arrow and there is the widget to resize that element. In this position the messages appear to be opened. In the previous example they are not opened when selected. The only thing I did was close and restart claws.
(From update of attachment 78 [details]) Er, I meant up arrow, not down arrow.
okay got it: you know what they say about pictures
Well, this is half-remedied now - the minimised state is no longer remembered, so you are at least not stuck with a down arrow where you want an up arrow. But not quite time to close this yet.
fixed in 0.9.12cvs67
