Screenshot showing duplicate notifications

I have Claws Mail 3.13.2 installed under Fedora (64-bit) and I've noticed duplicate notifications appearing when e-mail is received with Claws Mail. I am attaching a small screenshot showing both of the notification icons in the taskbar. This particular screenshot is coming from the LXDE desktop.

Not sure why this is happening, whether it is a bug, or if it's something specific to Fedora.

What Claws Mail icon theme are you using?
Comment 2 Edward 2016-06-09 23:52:59 UTC
Hi Paul.

It's the 'Default internal theme'.

(Past Linux distros I used, included the 'claws-mail-themes' package, however Fedora does not currently offer this package.)

In that case I'll close this. Neither of those envelope icons in your screen shot come from Claws Mail.

(BTW, you don't need a package for the themes, you can just download them from http://www.claws-mail.org/themes.php and untar them into ~/.claws-mail/themes/)

I am attaching three additional screenshots.

The first one shows one open envelope upon launch of Claws Mail.

The second screenshot also shows a second envelope appearing when the first new message is detected (IMAP).

The third screenshot shows the Preferences for the notification plugin.

If you say these envelopes are not from Claws Mail, then there may still be an issue with the notification.

Note that there is also a "bubble" that occasionally appears at the upper right corner of the screen displaying for a certain number of seconds, the number of new messages. If I open a new message, this bubble reappears and the new message count always increases by one, each time.

Both this bubble and the second envelope, both display the Claws Mail logo when the bubble appears or in case of the envelope, clicked.

Attach screen shots showing the context menu of the tray icons.

Envelope 1

First envelope that appears immediately after Claws Mail is launched. The context menu references Claws Mail.

Was unable to do the screenshots with the menu displayed, the menu disappears once the mouse is clicked elsewhere on the screen, so these two images were taken with a mobile phone.

Envelopes 1 and 2 were taken with a mobile phone, as the menu (from 1) and the notification (from 2) disappear when the mouse is clicked elsewhere on the screen.

Envelope 1's menu references Claws Mail in the text. Envelope 2 displays the Claws Mail logo.

It is strange that in the screen shot where you show the context menu there is only one icon in the systray. But at least we do we see the Claws Mail context menu.

You said that you're using the defualt theme, but the systray icons are not from the deault theme.

It is not a Fedora issue, I'm using Fedora without these oddities. However, I use KDE and LXDE, so it might be an LXDE issue.

Anyway, it works fine here. I think it is something to do with how your system is configured.

> Taskbar from MATE desktop.

Only one envelope appears on the taskbar using the MATE desktop.

The second envelope that appeared, is a general notification icon that is from LXDE.
