Hello. I've noticed that Claws Mail freezes for almost a minute when scanning the folder vCalendar/.meetings. This freeze is particularly annoying because the whole client is stuck until the process completes. I have very few calendar meetings logged, and I'm using quite a powerful computer (quad-core, 8 gigs) on Linux (Xubuntu).
Any reason for not updating to 3.9.0? FYI, vCalendar takes under 2 seconds here to get a something-every-day list from Google Calendar. HTH
Thanks for chiming in. 3.8.0 is the latest version available on Ubuntu. I'll try compiling from source or installing a .deb of 3.9.0 to see if I can replicate this problem. The excessive time might be due to a slow connection. Still, Claws should handle it gracefully, and not freeze the client until it finishes or gives up.
