Hello,
Due to the unique identifier of Claws-Mail, it would be nice to enter a custom useragent/x-mailer string. In this way users could protect their privacy by using more common X-Mailer, such as Thunderbird.

This can already be done.  Account prefs / Account / Send / Add User defined header.  Anything you create there will overwrite the default string.
