Description Olivier Fabre 2016-08-23 12:46:39 UTC
Hi,

I have the messages list sorted by "Date", "Descending". Claws-mail used to select the next (unread) message when I deleted a mail, but with 3.14.0 it now selects the previous (read) message instead, so I have to click on the next message myself. It’s a bit tedious when I have many messages to process.

See the release notes, manual and mailing list archive:

Look specifically for next_on_delete.

I see this message that didn’t get any answer:
http://lists.claws-mail.org/pipermail/users/2016-August/017046.html

I read the release notes before posting this bug report and saw this cryptic information: "Preferences: The 'next_on_delete' hidden preference now applies to trashing or moving, in addition to deleting, a message."
It’s not clear what it means, and I did not see any option related to that in the GUI.

I’ll look at this hidden option, thanks for the link, but wouldn’t it be better if it wasn’t hidden?
