Bug 3427

Summary: Timezone of start/finish time is not taken into account
Product: Claws Mail (GTK 2) Reporter: info
Component: Plugins/vCalendarAssignee: users
Status: RESOLVED FIXED
Severity: normal CC: tio.madrid
Priority: P3
Version: 3.11.1
Hardware: PC
OS: Linux

Description info 2015-05-13 02:19:15 UTC
Received a meeting invitation and decoded the MIME calendar entry. Start and end times are shown as:

DTSTART;TZID=Eastern Standard Time:20150513T213000
DTEND;TZID=Eastern Standard Time:20150513T220000

vcalendar shows:
Start time: Wed. May 13: 21:30:00 2015
End time: Wed. May 13: 22:00:00 2015

The system date is set to:
Wed May 13 09:14:30 JST 2015

(JST = Japan Standard Time)

I would very much appreciate if the date/time could be converted to the PC's time zone. As a "minimum solution" the time zone of the event should be shown (here: Eastern Stanard Time).

Besides that I'd like to take this opportunity for creating and maintaining Claws. I've been using the program for a long time (since 2007 or 2008) and I'm very happy with it!

Thank you!
