The filtering in Claws is quite powerfull.
But the interface between Claws and the user is bad.

Because of complexity there is a high rate of missunderstandings and possible errors in the filters.

There are to much clicks needed to create or modify a filter. This can be easiely reduced without loseing the powerfullness of the filtering.

The question is if there are resources and will to modify or redesign this component?

I could offer some design ideas. A complete redesign is to much for the first time - maybe. I would prefere to modify the filtering dialogs from bottom to top. Modify little things - step by step.

Should I open new feauter-requests for each "little thing" and link it to this Report?

What do you think?

I agree that, more specifically, the "Replace" buttons are unusual and I several times forgot to click on them after changing a filter, thus losing my changes. Getting rid of the "Replace" buttons would be an improvement.
Also the line that contains "(New) (New) (New)" is kinda weird.
