Bug 2593

With the 3.8.0 version, enable_dotted_lines feature has been removed. This makes following long wide-branched threads where one is interested in a subset of the thread only (like Linux kernel development lists) more difficult.

Could something like this be reintroduced? Not necessarily in the previous form but some visual connection between mails on the same level (especially when they have large subthreads, so the consecutive mails on the same level may be a screen or two off each other) would be much appreciated.

(Setting severity to normal, as it is a usability regression in my use case.)
