Network log for opening inbox

1. I see that INBOX has some new (and unread) messages
2. I click on the folder to list the messages
3. All messages become "read".

This did not happen when pulling mail via IMAP through a DavMail server, and started happening when I pointed Claws at a Google Apps mail server. Inbox is not set to synchronize for offline use.

Possible explanation:

I have attached a log of clicking on INBOX with one unread message.

gmail doesn't support the NEW flag

So this is 100% a GMail IMAP implementation bug? Is there a workaround in Claws? Other clients seem to manage OK.

This is not a discussion forum (we have the mailing list for that), but to answer your questions: Yes, No. Other servers seems to manage IMAP specification OK.
