Hello,

I like to think of myself as an advanced user, but I can't figure out how to use the boolean functions in extended search. I've clicked on 'information', and I've read through the list of symbols that are allowed, but I can't seem to combine them successfully. Perhaps I need quotes? Parentheses? The search bar just stays red when I try it.

Putting a couple of simple, medium and complex examples into the information window would help a lot.

Thanks.

The "Edit" button next to the "Information" button lets you build the extended quicksearch expressions interactively with a GUI, so it's very easy to generate working examples quickly.

I think adding example expresions to the information panel could be seen as if users were expected to type the whole expressions directly. That's not expected, so I don't think is useful to give the impression that quicksearch is more difficult to use than it really is.
