Bug 1821

Summary: Selecting HTML component of an email causes return recept notification to disappear
Product: Claws Mail (GTK 2) Reporter: Abhay S. Kushwaha <clawsmail>
Component: UI/Message ViewAssignee: users
Status: RESOLVED FIXED
Severity: normal
Priority: P3
Version: 3.7.0
Hardware: PC
OS: Windows XP

Description Abhay S. Kushwaha 2009-01-12 08:28:10 UTC
1. Select a message with HTML part that requests receipt notification. You will notice "This message asks for a return receipt." between message list and prevew pane.
2. Select HTML component of the email from the list of message parts to display the HTML in HTML viewer.

Error: The notification disappears. The only way to make it appear again is by selecting another message and then re-selecting the message, or closing and re-opening the preview.

Desired behaviour: The return receipt notification should not disappear.

PS: I have seen this on Win32 build but I am guessing it's a problem with all versions, and therefore I'm posting it here. Please move this to Win32 section if that's not the case.

This is true, but this isn't a bug, that's how our plugin architecture work. If you look closely, selecting an HTML part removes the mail headers, too.
I don't think we'll change that.

I wanted to update this to "FIXED" because somewhere along the way, it started behaving the way it should -- selecting individual message parts does not hide the notification of return receipt request.
